Photo uploading

Just want to let everyone know that it took me 5 minutes at most to type out the entry for Mums birthday and over 2 hours to finally get a photo uploaded. I kept trying and it wasnt loading the page and kept cutting out. Then finally I ended up with 8 images all the same which I couldnt figure out how to delete!! I had to start all over again and finally luck was with me. Hey presto, 1 photo of mum.

Visit to Saskia, Majorca, July 2006 (copy)

SASKIA IN MAJORCA

I flew out to Majorca to visit Saskia on Saturday 8th of July for one week. Saskia is living in Peurto Pollenca in the North of the island. She is currently working for Sapphire International. She is based mainly in the Hotel Flora but also dances in a couple of its sister hotels.

I am pleased to be able to report that she is happy and well and really enjoying herself. She looks wonderful and watching her perform was great as usual. Her own choreography of "All that jazz" is excellent.

I had a wonderful week with her, although I came back very tired as I have not walked so far in a long time. I stayed at the Hotel Romantic which Saskia had said was only 10 minutes away from her. Moral of the story...........Don't trust Saskia to judge distances!!!!!

Just before I arrived Saskia was finally able to move into her new house which is brand new and very nice.

We are very proud of our beautiful talented daughter.

OK. Think I am learning how to do this now. Unless I am still confused, this Blog thing is just pages on the web where I can put any random stuff. Then if I choose to send you my address, you can look at my pages to see what I am rambling on about.

I can't really see that anyone much will want to know what I have been doing. I suppose some people may be interested to look at my photos. Then again most of my friends and family are sick to death of all the photos I regularly email them. I suppose this way they can choose if they want to view them rather than me slowing their connection rate to zero and clogging up their in boxes.

Actually, it's time all you lot out there got with the times and got yourself broadband, then you would'nt have download problems. In fact broadband will enable you to have more time to Lollygag!
I have now spent most of my Sunday lollygagging. Thanks Ali for getting me into this!!! When Simon gets home I shall tell him why I have done nothing all day.

Until next time..................................

LOLLYGAGGING (copy)

It is now about 4 hours since I set up my Blog. During which time I have discovered that I have in fact been lollygagging!

There,s a good word....... bet you don't know what it means. I came across it whilst looking at some other blogs on the web, trying to get ideas of how it all works. There was a Blog for a mum in America and she said that she had spent her day lollygagging. Having never heard of it, I had to look it up. It's a brilliant word and describes perfectly what I have spent my morning doing!!

lollygagging (verb)
Function: verbDefinition: to be playing around, To waste time by puttering aimlessly; dawdle.
Sample sentence:

So.. .. .. when someone asks you what you're doing for the next five minutes, hour, or day...tell them your taking up the lost art of lollygagging. Then watch them furrow their brow as you wink, smile, and walk away.

Hey, I've got a Blog!!

I'm still not too sure what a Blog actually is and I have only got one because my friend Ali, in New Zealand has just got a really cool one. Ali's has photos and video and a calender and looks good.

I didn't know how to do this so I looked up "create Blog" on Google and this was the first web site that came up. I am going to give it at try and see what happens. I figure that if it is crap or I am crap then I can always try another web site!

NB. My page didn't originally have a photo of me. It has only taken me about 2 hours to figure out how to do that!! I can see that web blogging is going to be time consuming.
