Hello Jilly - interesting to see that your parents were from the East End. I am from Bethnal Green, but moved away 44 years ago to work in Switzerland and have remained since (thanks to Mr. Swiss and two children). My dad now lives in Dagenham and I will be going to see him in 3 weeks.
Hi Jilly - certainly is a small world. My dad was born in Stratford and my mum in Bethnal Green. I know Manor Park from Woodgrange Cemetery where my mum's family were buried. Otherwise mum and dad moved out to Dagenham when I left England in 1966 for Switzerland to work. Met my husband a couple of years later and that is why I am still in Switzerland after 45 years.
