Keep calm and blog on.

I'm still pretty poorly today so I have been doing a lot of catching up and browsing. One thing that stands out is this petition thing that's knocking around to "keep Multiply" going.  What is it with you lot?  No one from Multiply has ever stated that the blogging part of their site is being got rid of.  Where did you get that from?  

They moved the company to Indonesia, a move that seems to have upset a lot of  people for very nefarious reasons. Does the word xenophobia mean anything to you.  Give it a chance for goodness sake. 

They stated their intention to put a lot of effort into building the marketing side of things. That's fine by me.  I have never even looked at the market place. You don't need to either if it offends you.  

They have said, that should anything change in the future then we will be given plenty of notice.  Yes, I am also an X 360er and am well aware of what happened over there.  That does not mean it will happen here.  I'm not saying it can't or won't, just give them a chance. 

They have also stated that they believe that the "social" side of Multiply is what makes the marketing side so powerful.  If that is true then why would they be doing away with it?

I'm sorry folks but it is time to stop the scare mongering and silly rumours and give them a chance to prove you all wrong.  If and when they do make any changes that is the time to rally the troops. This is currently a war with no enemy.  

Should it all eventually go tits up this will not be the end of the world. I have read some blogs today where you would think it was armageddon coming.  Come on, this is not life and death stuff.  There are loads of other blogging sites out there equally as good if not better.  You will not lose your friends, you just get their email address. It really isn't that serious.

Can we please not all just keep calm and  keep a sense of proportion  about this?
