The weekend

Well that's another weekend gone. It was a busy one but a good one. Flynn's birthday as you know was on Saturday and we had a lovely day with all the family. Even Saskia was able to get home for the day. All 4 grandchildren enjoyed themselves. Ellie had done a sleepover with Evan the night before so she was in high spirits. Flynn was suffering with a cold and Evan is not well but it didn't deter them. Both Evan and Ellie were very helpful in opening the cards and presents! Coralie and John took the boys on the train to London on Sunday as a treat. They went to the museum to see the dinosaurs.
After the party was finished Simon, Saskia and I went to see Josh and Charlotte’s new house as we hadn't been since they moved in. It is small but very nice. They even have a little garden. We were going to go to Cambridge to see Verity and Steve’s new house but it got too late. Not sure when we will be able to do that now. Verity and Steve have just got a kitten. He is a Bengal cat, 14 weeks old and they have called him Elvis. This is the only photo I have so far.
On Sunday we were going to go up to my Dad but decided to do that next weekend instead. We went to the allotment briefly to pick up some wood. We were pleased to see that the onions and garlic that we planted on the 5th of November are peaking their heads through already. From there we went to the Hobbycraft store which I mentioned yesterday. It is so good that we now have one in Peterborough.
That reminds me some of you thought our road signs were odd! “Give way” means yield! LOL. You know what I always find weird when I go to Merika? The way you have your traffic lights strung out overhead across the road. Here of course they are on poles at the side of the road. You don't have enough roundabouts either!
Grammy Blick asked how much Simon knows about our Multiply group? The answer is pretty much everything! I talk about you all and tell him things that you have said. Sometimes I show him your photos. He did have his own blog for a while. I talked him into it. He only did about a dozen blogs though. I'm not sure if it even still exists. I'll have to see if I can find it. He used to read mine regularly but he doesn't any more. Actually thinking about it he can't now as I have made it contacts only and he isn't a contact. I think he finds the photo thing a bit weird. He does give me some funny looks when I tell him I need to take a photo of a road sign!
Today I need to get on with some housework. I have more of Coralie's washing too as her machine is still broken. I have ironing to do and hoovering. I must do Coralie's Wii Fit thing as I still haven't tried it out and she wants it back. After that I am going to do some crafting. I am making little brooches from felt and fabric scarps and buttons and ribbon. They are very pretty.
Time to get cracking me thinks.
