Saturday 2nd of October and still feeling grotty. I spent yesterday in bed and I have also spent this morning in bed. I have just got up and washed in an attempt to feel more human. I think I am marginally better than yesterday. Simon is keeping his distance in the hope that he doesn’t get it. He has gone to his barn this afternoon. He went out to run a few errands this morning. I think he may have gone birthday present shopping!!!
Yes it’s my birthday month! From Monday it will be my birthday week! So this stupid cold had better go away by then and everyone had jolly well better be nice to me! So there. Interestingly my birthday this year falls on 10/10/10! How cool is that?
Anyway.... a couple of things.... Thank you to everyone for your comments on all the wedding blogs. Big thank yous to the ones who noticed the bunting..........all 200 metres of it!! Simon says thanks for the comments on his speech too. He is a teacher so he is used to “public speaking”. LOL!
October is also Breast Cancer awareness month and you may have noticed that I have changed my background for the pink ribbons. I shall be doing a separate blog regarding breast cancer. In the mean time.................ladies check your boobs!
What else? Hmmm................. Not much been happening here really. Simon is going to go and get his new lap top when he gets back from the barn later. He wants me to go as well. Not sure why he can’t go and get it on his own. I shall see. At the moment I really don’t feel like going anywhere. Just want to curl up and watch TV or read.
That reminds me..... “Strictly Come Dancing” started last night. YAY! As you all know I don’t really watch much television but the last few years I have got hooked into Strictly. I love it! Did you see it? They have some funny people this year. Lots of oldies. The surprise for me was that chap from Country File...... can’t remember his name...... he used to be on Blue Peter apparently........ Matt something or other, I think. Anyway, he was really good. I didn’t expect that.
Patsy Kensit was seriously bad which I didn’t expect either. Paul Daniels was just a joke. It is on again tonight as it is 2 parter to begin the series. I can’t wait to see Ann Widdecombe. (For my Merikan friends she is a British politician) Poor Anton who is partnered with her. They always give him someone that you just know is going to go out after a few weeks. They never give him one of the little young dolly birds. I mean, how is he to spin Ann around above his head???? It defies logic. I would so like to see him win but it’s not going to happen.
Ok I think that is all I have to say except I am doing a “Photo a day challenge” (see next blog). I didn’t do yesterday’s photo as I was ill so there are 2 photos for today.
