A photo a day challenge 31

Todays challenge is: A picture of anything you like.

The temptation was to do something halloween related as today is the 31st of October...All hallows day.  Once an important day in the calendar.  Nowadays it has been commercialised beyond belief and is just a huge money spinner.  Any meaning to it has long since been lost. I am afraid this is one thing that I really wish our Merikan friends had not given us. You don't even want to get me started on the fiasco of trick and treating.  Lets not go there.

Here in the UK we have also just put our clocks back so we are no longer on British summer time but Greenwich mean time.  So it is now dark at 5.30pm.  I HATE IT!  Messing around with our clocks started many years ago and was to do with extra daylight to bring in the harvests....hmmmmmmm.  I bet there was some financial bonus in there somewhere too.

Whatever.....summer has long gone (did it ever appear anyway?) autumn is on its way out and winter is just around the corner so my photo today is one that was taken on Evans second birthday in June.

It was one of the very few nice days that we got and my garden is looking good.  Right now it looks awful and it will get worse as we move fully into winter.  This photo is a reminder to me that spring follows winter.    If only it would hurry up!

Tomorrow is a new month, the final one of autumn.  Its downhill to Christmas now.  I would do you a count down  clock but I am on my mini lap top and I don't have much time so..... another day.

Simon is back to school tomorrow and I will be trying to get my house back into some kind of order.  Hopefully I will also get time to get on here and tell you all about my weekend.  With luck there may be baby news to post.  We'll see.
