A quick Thursday evening blog

A quick Thursday evening blog.  I have had a busy day.  I did manage to get a few jobs done this morning and then this afternoon Coralie came with Evan.  She had to go to the dentist so I had him all to myself for a few hours.  I walked up to Sainsburys with him in the pram.  He was asleep before we had gone even a few yards!
I love pushing the pram, it is so satisfying.  He looked so cosy all snuggled up in his little snow suit.  I got that for him a few weeks back and he looks gorgeous in it.  I'll have to get some photos.  It's brown and furry and it has paws and ears on it.  Makes him look like a tiny bear cub!
When we were walking home, I was stopped by a little old man with a walking frame.  He wanted to have a peep into the pram.  It was nice and he was telling me about how he remembers when his grandchildren were small and his wife was alive.  Funny, how just having a pram encourages people to stop and chat.
As soon as we got in, Evan of course decided it was time to wake up, so instead of doing the ironing as I had planned, we ended up playing.  He is quite vocal now and makes lots of cooing noises.  He is on the point of rolling over, but doesn't quite make it yet!  He is Nanny's big gorgeous boy.

When Coralie got back we took a few photos and a little bit of video.  The photos are in my October album and I will post the video later.  Since dinner, Simon and I have been discussing next week. The upshot is that he has just cancelled our few day away in Yorkshire.
I haven't yet decided what to do about my Uncles funeral, but Simon wants to attend, so it wasn't possible for us to go away to Yorkshire any longer.  I'll be giving the matter some more thought.  For those that don't know, I have never attended a funeral as my grand parents and some uncles all died when I was too young.  For my own reasons, I have always said that the only funeral I will go to will be my own.  It may sound odd to some, but that is how I have felt.  I am trying to work out if that is still the way I feel.
