Pinch, punch for the first of the month and no returns of the day!! Yeah, I do know it's actually the second of the month but I didn't get time to blog yesterday and I am playing catch up. Happy April Fools day, hope you didn't get caught out. Anyone else see the flying penguins on TV?
Actually as I was away at Easter, I didn't do any Easter blogs........So Happy Easter everyone!
Yesterday I went to Stevenage to see my Mum and Dad. It was quite a busy and stressful day in the end. Saskia was supposed to come with me but in the end I had to take her to Coralies before I left as Coralie wasn't very well and needed someone with her.
It was lucky that Saskia was available as otherwise I would have had to cancel going to my Dad and then I would have felt really bad. As it was I felt bad because I didn't stay with Coralie. I'm pulled in all directions, I can't win! I ended up leaving late and then got stuck in a 3 mile tail back on the A1 as a bus had broken down on the black cat roundabout! Just what I needed.
My Dad was quite worked up and stressed yesterday as Mum hasn't been eating or drinking again. She wasn't too bad though and we did manage to get her to eat a little cake and drink some hot chocolate. I dropped Dad back at home about 5pm and manged to get home in an hour and a half which was quite good at that time of day.
Today, Simon was in school to do revision sessions with some of his year 12's, even though the school holidays don't finish until next week. I spent my morning doing all the normal chores and then went over to Coralies for lunch and to keep her company for a few hours. She felt a bit better today although she has still got a lot of pain.
This afternoon and this evening I have been generally relaxing, blogging, reading and entering competitions. Tomorrow I have Ellie all day from 8am until 6pm when we are taking her back. We are then going out for a meal with Sam and Lisa...and Ellie! I'm looking forward to that as I think I may be exhausted. It will be the first time that I have had her for the whole day.
Right, time to go and make some coffee!
