A young Cherokee boy saw his grandfather seated by himself. He walked up to him and said, "Grandfather, what are you doing?"
The grandfather said "I am thinking about a fierce battle that is taking place within me."
The grandson's eyes opened wide and he said, "Battle?! What is the battle about?"
The grandfather replied "The battle is between two wolves."
"One is filled with anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is filled with love, peace, joy, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee grandfather replies, "The one I feed
