I am really not into classical stuff but some years ago, Simon and I had a weekend away in Norwich. While we were there we went to the theatre to see the musical Carmen. I had booked the tickets as a birthday surprise for Simon. I was not expecting to enjoy it myself.
It was wonderful. One of the best musicals that I have ever seen. They had fantastic singers, the dancing was mesmerising and the Andalusian horses, just awe inspiring. I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it. The music of the Carmen fantasy and the March of the Toreadors has stayed with me ever since.
