I have had another week of blog slacking. It seems to be quite hard at the moment to get back into daily blogs. Even harder to find time to keep up with everyone else. I do think of you though. The other thing is that when I do look at other blogs, Yahoo often refuses my comments! Good old Yahoo. It's days are looking more and more numbered if you listen to the press reports. I am glad that I have Multiply all set up.
Anyway.... I was in school on Thursday afternoon to invigilate the last "A"level exam for this session. It was fine, only 5 children so I was able to read a bit of my book. I also had some great news. The woman who has been standing in as exams officer since Jacky left at Christmas is also leaving. Yippeeeeeee. Sorry, but I can't stand her and she is not good at her job. She is very disorganised which can make our job harder. The lady taking over is called Julie and she came from the old school and is lovely. Still haven't decided if I will stay though. The next time that I am due to be in is the 5th of March for the science modules which I hate.
Yesterday I had a really nice day with Coralie. We went shopping for a pram/travel system. One or two people have asked what a travel system is. It is basically a three in one, buggy, carrycot, car seat combo. You get one chassis and either a carrycot or pram body, plus a push chair, plus a car seat and they all fit on to the one chassi.
We got a lovely one in black and white for Coralies baby. It has a proper pram body with a sprung chassis which is what she wanted. She hopes to be able to do lots of walking in the summer with baby snug in the pram. Coralie is roughly half way now. See pram below, which Nanny is just as delighted with!

Unlike years ago when the shop would store the pram for you until baby arrived, now days you have to take it with you when you purchase it. It came in three very large boxes which we had great fun trying to get into Coralie's car! She will definitely need a bigger a car when baby gets here.
We then went to the post office to collect what I though was a parcel for me but turned out to be a letter. A letter which Simon had posted by special delivery on Monday and was being returned as unknown at the address. It was actually an application for a teaching post at a new school. A position for which, the closing date was Thursday.
Now here I was on Friday with it in my hand!! I can't believe that they said it was an unknown addressee as it was clearly addressed to the school. I can't work out either why it took until Friday for it to be returned as it was special next day delivery. To cut a very long story short, Coralie and I drove to the school in question and managed eventually to get them to agree to still include it for consideration over the weekend. This saga took forever by which time I had a headache. We had planned to go into town and have some lunch but it was now after 3pm so we decided to call it a day. I went to bed for a while when I got in which helped me get rid of my headache.
Today we got up late as usual on a Saturday. Simon walked the dogs, whilst I lounged around reading my book; The diary of a house husband which is very funny. Simon hoovered through from top to bottom for me and has now gone to his barn. He is going to do dinner when he gets in. I have been busy doing washing and ironing as per the norm. Have also fitted in entering a few competitions and this blog!
I have read all my emails too and a friend sent me this You Tube video which is really funny. Loulou does a similar thing in the wheat fields in the summer. Take a look.
Its called: Merry Christmas from Bailey the Unknown Reindeer
Right I need to go and get on another load of washing and iron the stuff that should by now be dry in the tumble drier. I don't want Simon saying that I have been slacking when he gets in! Might just make myself a cup of coffee too!
