Thought for the day
You were never meant to arrive in hell looking like a fashion plate
Rather to slide in backwards. glass of wine in hand, hair in disarray totally exhausted
Screaming man what a ride!!

Well here we go, over half way through Wednesday already and only a week to go to my Birthday!!! I have been in school this morning and the member of staff that I mentioned yesterday wasn't around, so it was a much more relaxed day and the children were fine. Three down and one to go for this week. I am not in tomorrow, but I shall be very busy catching up on my chores.
I have done some washing since I got home and a bit of tidying up and also made a shepherds pie for dinner. I have loads to do, but a cup of coffee was needed. Luckily I can blog whilst I drink!
Thanks to everyone for their comments, particularly on the Think Pink blog and my Tuesday Thirteen. Big thank yous also to Kanara and Mrs Nottaclue, they both know why!! They have great pages which you can check out for yourself.
Now the 2 blogs that I mentioned raised several questions amongst your comments. Firstly, I have not had breast cancer, my Mum has!! So thanks for your concerns but I am fine. It is just a cause close to my heart. Classy Filly mentioned that she had never seen the Sky Tower lit up with its pink lights, so here it is just for you!

Several people asked about Thirteen Tuesday. Well there are a lot of people who do something called Thirteen THURSDAY; as far as I recall it has it's own blog, a bit like the Friday Five. Now, because I like to be different (awkward, Simon would say!) I do my own version which is Thirteen Tuesday!!
The basic principle is that you list thirteen things. The list can be of anything. EG: 13 favourite films, 13 places you have visited, 13 books you have read etc... you get the idea. I have worked my way through lots of things and a while back now I decided that I would do a letter of the alphabet each week beginning, obviously, with "A".
I simply choose thirteen things that are important to me, or mean something to me, beginning with that letter. They are not in any order. I just jot them down as they spring to mind. I don't always reach thirteen!! That brings me to my next point. Some of you joined in and looking at your answers there were several very obvious things that I missed.
Marriage! How could I have not thought of that? I have been married for nearly 28 years. Meat. I am a real meat eater, love steak and the like. Unfortunately, I could never be a vegetarian. Musicals, I simply adore musicals both stage and film versions. Mascara, I don't wear it at home but if I am going out in the evening or when I am in school it is an essential, so that I look half way alive!! And lastly... Memories.
I can't believe that I missed that one. What can be more important to us, or more cherished than our memories. Given My Mums illness, I should realise better than most what an important part of our being, our memories actually are.
Well, I finished my coffee about ten minutes ago so I guess that it is time again to shift myself and do some chores. If I don't do a bit more today, I shall never get caught up tomorrow.
