Well it's Monday and I hope that normal service can now resume. Simon has gone back to school today, as has Saskia and Josh is also at work. I cannot believe that the six week school summer break has already finished; where did it go?
We were very fortunate in being able to have 2 holidays. The first one to Dublin, which as you all know had some problems. The second holiday to Madeira, from which we have not long been back, was wonderful. It is a fantastic place, which we will definitely return to, maybe even next year. I will be posting photos over the next few days as I get them done.
The summer here in England has been very disappointing. Tons of rain causing floods all over the country, which we were fortunate enough not to be affected by. Cold grey days and very little sun and now it's all down hill to Christmas. Sorry Wendy, but you know it's true. We are fortunate to have a weeks holiday at half term in Fuerterventura to look forward to. I do enjoy getting some really hot sun before Christmas.
However, Wendy has pointed out that I still seem to be wearing my bikini and as I am now home it is not really appropriate attire. I shall make sure that I change into something else later today. Maybe I will have a new back ground as well, although I don't quite fancy an autumn one yet.
This morning so far, I have done a pile of washing and ironing (lots more still to go), I have cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen. I have carved the last of the meat off yesterdays chicken ready to make a chicken carbonara for dinner later and I have boiled up all the bones and stripped them of the last of the meat for the dogs. I always do this with chicken carcases and then I use the stock to boil up some rice, also for the dogs. They do love their Mum!
Anyway, my coffee is finished and I need to get more washing on the line and do some hoovering, so I guess I need to stir myself and come back to this later. I will post an update on what everyone here is up to and hopefully some photos later. Incidentally for some reason Yahoo wants to do this post with funny spacing and in the middle! It isn't me! It won't let me put it over on the left and I don't why because I have checked the HTML myself and I have it set as left align and single spacing! Good old Yahoo!
