Well the last week has been a busy one and I have not had much time for blogging. Since we came home from Dublin, we have had Saskia to sort out and three birthdays to organise or attend. I had not done anything about cards and presents, so several shopping trips have also been on the agenda this week!
On top of all that there has been the normal house work to do and I have not been feeling terribly well. I have had a nasty migraine and other aches and pains resulting in some time in bed. This I am sure is all stress related.
I visited my Mum in the hospital on Tuesday as it was her birthday. That went as well as could be expected, but she didn't really understand what was going on. On Wednesday we had Coralie and Rosie's birthday barbecue in the garden. Fortunately it was a nice evening.
Yesterday, Simon, Coralie and I went to a craft show at Sandringham House. We went last year as well and it is really good. It was a lovely sunny day and we spent several pleasant hours wandering around and browsing the stalls. Both Coralie and I bought lovely woollen wraps, with sleeves, sort of like a cardigan. Simon got some special hand made sausages and various cheeses and some Elderflower cordial. He couldn't find any honey though!! I also got some special mineral salts from the Himalayas which are supposed to be good for skin conditions. I am hoping that they may help my foot which has a sort of psoriasis thing on it.
My other purchase was a deodorant stone! This looks like a big glass paper weight but is actually a mineral rock. You wipe it over damp under arms and it stops you sweating. Well at least it is supposed to stop you smelling. I thought I would give it a go as it works out quite cheap and is environmentally friendly. It also does not contain aluminium like normal deodorants. There has been some research that shows a link between aluminium and Alzheimer's. So, if I can find a good alternative then it seems like a good idea. If you want to take a look for yourself, here is the website: www.kudosrocksalt.co.uk
Well, Simon has been at his barn this afternoon, but he should be back very soon with fish and chips for dinner so that I don't have to cook. I will try over the weekend to browse around all my friends and catch up with everyone. Hopefully next week I will have more blogging time.
