Entry for 12 June 2007 (copy)

How can it already be Tuesday? I have no idea where the time is going to. I did a few Blogs on Friday and then just about managed to do my Sunday photo word, but that's been it. I have checked in with a few people though.
On Saturday Simon and I went up to Stevenage. Dad, Julie and I had an appointment with my Dads bank to sort out Mums bank account. That took quite a while and was a bit upsetting for Dad. While we were there Simon went to the garden center and got lots of bedding plants for Dads pots.
We had lunch with Dad and then while Dad and I went to the hospital, Simon stayed behind and filled all my Dads pots with flowers. My Mum was having a relatively good day and we sat outside in the tiny little garden of her hospital ward. It was quite hot, which was nice. Mum was as confused as ever but in a good mood. She manged to eat a cake.
By the time we got back to Dads house, Simon had finished in the garden and it was looking lovely. My Dad had been to a Chinese restaurant earlier in the week for Julies birthday and he had really enjoyed it; so he gave us some money to go there ourselves on the way home.
The restaurant is in Letchworth which is just off the A1. It's called the Dragon King and is very nice. It's one of those buffet type places were you eat as much as you want. I can thoroughly recommend it and I think we will be going back again!
On Sunday we all went to Sam and Lisa's house for a barbecue. Sam has just bought a gas barbecue and he wanted to try it out! We had a lovely time as we were all there and Lisa's Mum and Dad and her 2 sisters came as well. Sam done us some lovely food and the weather was lovely so it was most enjoyable. Ellie behaved beautifully. She was passed round and round as everyone wanted to hold her. Once Joshua gets her that's it though, because he doesn't want to give her up! This was the last occasion that we will all be together until at least October if not longer as Verity has now gone home.
Monday, I was in school all day and it was horrendous. I invigilated the maths exam in the morning and geography in the afternoon. The children in the morning were the lower ability ones doing the foundation paper and the number of disturbances was appalling. I had nine children who were late and no end of children that had to be removed for various reasons during the exam. Terrible. Hopefully today will be better!
Verity sat her second maths paper yesterday. She thinks it went OK, so all we can do now is cross our fingers and hope for the best for her. She will know when the result come out in August. She left to go home about half an hour ago. Coralie took her to the train station. She should be back in Southampton about three this afternoon.
I am just having a quick coffee before getting ready for school. I am only doing the afternoon today. It should all go smoothly. I have 20 children doing German reading and it is only 50 minutes long. Once I have finished I am going to take back some curtains that I got for Verity's bedroom but they are the wrong size.
Simon has a meeting tonight until five and then he is going straight off to some car show. He won't be back until about ten so I am hoping for a quiet time. I shall watch Eastenders and then do some computing. I have decided as well, not to cook dinner tonight. Everyone can get their own when they are hungry. That will give me a bit more time.
Right time to depart for school.
