Entry for 17 August 2007 (copy)

A quick blog tonight as I am very tired. I have been up to Stevenage today on the train (Our car is STILL playing up) I had lunch with my Dad and then we went on the bus to the hospital to see my Mum.

Mum was having quite a good day and although I haven't a clue what she was saying, I manged to keep her chatting all afternoon. She seemed to be happy which is the main thing. My Dad is not so good. Still no news on the biopsy for the skin cancer and the shingles which are now in their fourth week seem to be getting worse rather than better.
He is in quite a bit of pain on and off. Every time the bus went over a bump in the road he was wincing. I had tried to get him to stay at home and just let me go today but he won't ever do that. I got home about half past six and Simon had done a nice fish pie for dinner.
I feel quite achy today especially my neck. I don't know why. Maybe I slept in a funny position or something. Anyway, I have had a nice relaxing bubble bath and a glass of the red stuff and I feel a little more relaxed now!
I am going to check out a few more blogs and then go to bed and read my book. Tomorrow afternoon I am going to the hair dressers to have my high lights done and then on Sunday I will need to get organised and pack for our holiday. We will be leaving about 10am on Monday morning. I apologise to anybody who I don't get round to. When we get back it won't be long until the schools start up again and then Normal service should be resumed.
