Hmmm, OK. I have received several hundred messages in my in box today. All from Yahoo to inform me that someone has left me a comment on my blog. Guess what? They are all old ones going back months! What's up Yahoo?
I am not going to talk about the weather, which kind of gives you a clue! Apparently it is 38 degrees in Majorca where Josh is on holiday. We haven't heard from him, so I assume all is well.
A week or so back, I posted a moan regarding someone who had criticised me for not validating one of my posts. The lady in question, a very nice lady as it turns out, sent me a very long explanation and apology yesterday. You may recall that I was annoyed that her blog was set to private and I couldn't reply to her. She has explained to me now, why that is and I can understand where she is coming from. Thank you Grammy.
It is nice when things work themselves out and I am glad that Grammy took the trouble to contact me. I have extended an invitation to her. There was a lesson there for all of us, and that is that we don't always understand what is happening in anothers life and that we certainly don't "know" them and we should therefore be careful how we phrase things. The last thing any of us want to do is to upset another.
Today, I am going to risk using my car to go over to Coralies house and we are going to go shopping. I don't have any thing in particular to get but I shall look for some holiday clothes. I don't think I will bother getting measured though! I have done a few jobs this morning, washing and ironing etc... but I can't hoover today as my hoover made a nasty bang yesterday and stopped working! I am hoping that Simon may be able to mend it as it is a Dyson and they are expensive to replace. My dishwasher was making a very strange clicking noise this morning too, so I am hoping that it isn't on it's way out as well
This evening we are going to Sam's house, hopefully for a barbecue. Simon's brother is in Peterborough today to collect a drum kit that he has purchased from the school. As he hasn't seen Ellie yet he is going to Sam's, hence the barbecue. Hopefully the weather will improve.
Right, my coffee is finished, so it's off to the shops I go ........ car permitting!!
