Entry for 19 June 2008

I have had a nice relaxing day so far. I have done a bit of washing, ironing and hoovering. There wasn't too much to do as I had got myself fairly up to date. Coralie called in this morning and we had a nice chat before her hospital appointment. The latest news on "Bob" is that if he/she doesn't arrive over the weekend, then they will induce at 8am on Monday. So "Bob" will finally be here on Monday, hopefully, or Tuesday at the latest, if not before!!!

While Coralie was here she took my blood pressure for me again. The first reading was 148 over 96. She took it again a bit later and it was 138 over 92. Once again, the first reading was a little high but the second was OK. Neither of them are anywhere near the high readings that I have been getting at my Doctors or the hospital. My Doctor would not be giving me medication for those figures. I have just managed to get an appointment with my Doctor to find out what is going on and it's not until the first of July!!

Coralie has shown me how to use her blood pressure monitor, which is a proper one as she uses it in the hospital. I am going to show Simon, so hopefully we can do daily readings and I can prove to my Doctor that I don't have a problem.

This afternoon I have been out to the post office and to the library. I have dead headed all my flowers and put out some slug pellets as we are due for more rain and that always means lots of slugs. They have eaten a few of my plants but not as many as last year as I am on to them now! Since then I have posted a blog on childhood toys which I worked on last night. It's quite nice to review memories.

I am just having a fruit tea and then I may go and do some more of "Bobs" embroidery. The big farmyard picture that I am working on definitely won't be ready in time. In fact "Bob" will probably be a year old before he/she gets that one! That was the case with one that I did for Ellie! I have done a smaller picture though, which is ready, apart from the name, weight and date details. Coralie and I just figured out that I can do the date. I just need to make sure that I do it as 2 - June 2008, then I can add the other digit when we know! Knowing my luck if I do that now, she'll go and have it really quick today and I'd have to change it to 19!!

This evening Simon is going to his barn so we will be having an early dinner. Josh will be out. That gives me a nice quiet evening. I am going to watch Eastenders then have a nice relaxing bath. I need to stay relaxed as things are going to get busy next week!
