Another two days with no blogs!! I don't know what is going on, I keep missing two days. I have had a busy weekend. Saturday was busy with all my normal jobs while Simon was out at the barn. I think he has nearly finished breaking up the Citroen now.
Sunday we went up to Stevenage with Saskia. I met my Dad at the hospital for a meeting of the Patient Support Group. It was quite interesting. I hadn't gone before. They are a group made up of friends and relatives of the patients. Their purpose is to raise money for things which the NHS does not cover and also to address any issues or concerns that people may have. They seemed a very friendly group and I am impressed with the work that they do on behalf of all patients.
After the meeting we went in to see Mum. She was quite agitated to begin with, but not too bad. She didn't really know us. After a while Simon came with Saskia. They had been over to see Simon's parents while Dad and I went to the meeting. Mum didn't know who they were at all. On Sunday afternoons the home has a a karaoke session in the main room, so we went along to that and Saskia and I did manage to get Mum up for a little while for a dance!
It's quite funny as she doesn't dance but seems quite happy to stand there with you swinging her arms around! She won't move her feet at all and she "talks" the whole time. Still, the main thing is that she seems to enjoy it. We took Dad home after that and drove home ourselves.
Today, I have been busy catching up on housework again and also doing lots of washing and ironing. Coralie was here this morning and we spent quite a while chatting over coffee, so that has made me all behind now. I am just having another quick coffee break before going and doing a bit more ironing and thinking about dinner. Josh has just got in, so it is later than I realised!
Better crack on!
