We are two thirds of the way through June already and the weather here in Peterborough is still a bit grotty. It is very windy today and not that warm. The weather forecast says there may be sun this afternoon.
I am having a fairly easy day today as I have a bit of a head ache that I woke up with. I am doing my "half hour" system. I have done washing, ironing, cleaning and hoovering. Actually that reminds me, one of my American friends pointed out to me that in America you don't hoover you vacuum!
I don't know why we always say hoovering but I believe most of us do. A Hoover was a really popular brand of vacuum cleaner here in years gone by and I think the name just became the generic term for a vacuum cleaner. Actually, I use a Dyson, so I suppose I should say Dysoning!! Dyson's are the best. I am on my third one and I have never found anything that even comes close to it for picking up dog hair. It's an essential when you have 3 dogs that shed hair year round.
I also have some filing and online banking to do today and then I think I shall do some embroidery this afternoon. Or may be a bit of family history research. I might not get to much "me" time with "Bob" arriving next week. I need to make the most of it. Time to make some coffee.
