Monday morning and the start of another week. Where does the time go to? I still didn't get round to daily blogging last week. Maybe this week, as hopefully I will not be too busy.
Friday, I busied myself all day with lots of house work. Simon had his interview but unfortunately he didn't get the post. It went to the internal candidate. Say no more. It is possible though that they may offer him something else. One of the senior people is coming out to see him tomorrow. He has also applied for another job in Spalding which sounds quite interesting so no doubt something will come up. He really would like to leave the Voyager.
On Saturday we both went down to Stevenage to see my Mum and Dad. Simon went over to see his parents while Dad and I went to the hospital. All was well with my Mum so we had a reasonably pleasant visit. My Dad however is suffering with his left knee. It is so painful that he is having trouble getting around. He has seen his GP who has ordered X-rays, so we need to wait and see. I think he may need another operation of some sort but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
On Sunday Simon went to his barn and I did some chores and then caught up with quite a lot of you on here. As usual, Yahoo was temperamental about who I could leave comments for. What's new!!
Today, I have been busy with the normal jobs. I seem to have a lot of washing and ironing today and am already on my 4th load. I also need to wash 3 dog quilts which seem to have got filthy over the weekend. The other thing I have been doing is getting quotes for dog insurance. Ours is due for renewal and they have put it up by over £13 which is a rise of 30%!! I wouldn't mind so much but we have made no claims.
I may ring them up and see what they can do. I did that with our house insurance and they reduced the premium to less than we paid the previous year!! It just goes to show that you really shouldn't just accept things with out shopping around.
This afternoon Coralie is coming over. She is getting me a bit of shopping when she does hers. I am also looking after Ellie this afternoon as Lisa has an appointment in town. Tonight Saskia is coming home from school with Simon to have dinner with us. Roast chicken and all the trimmings, yummy!
The rest of the week will hopefully be fairly quiet although I think I will have to go into school at some point to sort out for next week. With a bit of luck I will find time to catch up with the Multipliers too.
