Friday

A quick blog this morning as I am going out very soon. I woke up with a headache this morning so I haven't got anything much done yet and now I shan't because I'm going out!  I have so much housework to catch up on too.

Lisa is picking me up very shortly and we are going to Coralies house for lunch and then for a long walk.  Hopefully Simon will get the email I sent him asking him to collect me on his way home from school. I wasn't sure about going initially because I have so much to do here but Coralie persuaded me that it was a much better idea to go out with my grandchildren than to do jobs!  I'm sure she is right but I do get stressed when so much is left undone.  I haven't even properly done the kitchen today.

I have a busy weekend coming up too.  Verity is coming home tonight for the half term week. She will get in quite late and Simon will have to collect her from the station.  Josh is also coming home, although he doesn't have half term from Uni, he has a reading week.  He has his car though, so he'll make his own way.  I wish I knew if he was going to be home in time for dinner!

Tomorrow Simon is going to Leicester to take his truck to someone who is going to do a few jobs on it for him.  When he gets back he will be going to collect Sam who should be flying back from France tomorrow.  He has been out there again this week, working on a boat.  He will need taking back to his house in Bourne as he doesn't have his car.

So Simon won't be around much tomorrow.  I suppose that means I might get some jobs done.  The house will only descend into more chaos next week having 3 children here, plus we will be away.

We have decided together, after much discussion, that it is the right thing that we both attend my Uncles funeral which is on Monday down in Weymouth.  Simon pointed out to me, that if I was having to think about it so much then it probably meant that I really wasn't sure that I was doing the right thing in not going.  It's a long story but I think maybe he was right and I am happy now that I am doing the right thing for me.

We had to cancel our little holiday in Yorkshire as we will now be travelling to Weymouth on Sunday.  We are hoping that we can stay on in the area somewhere until Thursday so that we still get a break. I need to spend some time on the internet to see where we want to go and to book a hotel.

I may also need to book a hotel for Sunday night.  My cousin Pat has very kindly said we can all stay at her house as she is with her Mum right now.  My sister will be staying there and maybe my Dad, I'm not sure.  I thought Wendy and her husband were too but she said she has booked a hotel.  I need to sort this out with Simon this evening.  So you can see all of this will take up time again tonight.

Right, I have finished my coffee, taken some headache tablets and now I need to get my hair brushed and my coat on so that I am ready when Lisa gets here. I'm going to take my camera and will hopefully get some more good shots of my grandchildren.
