It's been quite a long day. We have had a lot of rain here in Peterborough but not as much as they have had in Dorset. I have spent the day catching up on some jobs. The normal, a bit of washing and I have hoovered right through so that I don't have to do it tomorrow.
I have done my banking and also some reading. I have also spent some time on here......again. I thought maybe Simon might have phoned me at lunch time as they weren't really doing anything today, but he didn't.
He rang at 10.30pm and said he was just going to bed. He was only on there about 2 minutes. He forgets that I haven't spoken to anyone at all in 3 days now and it would be nice to chat for longer than a few minutes. Good job I have my dogs to talk to.
Apparently they won't be leaving until after lunch. I had lived in hope that with the crap weather they would now be all talked out and he would leave in the morning, no such luck. He said half past two, but I did query this as I know that lunch is at 1pm and according to the web site for the place it is only soup, so shouldn't take long to eat.
The thing is, I just know it will take forever for them to get home. There will be bound to be traffic and of course the rain. I told Simon that I wanted to go out to dinner once he was back to save me having to cook, I don't feel much like cooking, plus it is very hard to do a meal without any real knowledge of when he will actually arrive back.
He said we could go out and eventually said that he would leave at 2pm. He said he could be back by 6.30pm or 7pm. We'll see. I am sure there is no allowance in those timings for the traffic and weather.
I asked him to ring in the morning again and I heard him give a real big huff! That of course upset me again. Great, thanks. Surely it's not too much to ask for a 2 minute phone call? I am beginning to feel like my voice will dry up soon.
So, I am upset all over again. It's nearly midnight now so I am going to try and do a few other things on here and then I am going to start a new book. Who knows I may even finish it by morning. It depends how many times I get up to look out of the window!
