This is Mona's, "I dare you" "Game", for week beginning Friday 4th of July. Each week she dares us to show something! (Nothing nude or nasty!!) It has to be your own photos, or graphics!
This Friday - until next! - I dare you to share a memory! It can be old or it can be a new one!
I have chosen to share 3 old photos that bring back memories for me.

This photo is of me aged about 3 years. It was taken in the back garden of my parents house. That is the house I was born in and the house where my Dad still lives today. It does look a bit different now though. You can see that I am wearing a hand knitted jumper. That brings back strong memories for me, as my Mum knitted all our jumpers and cardigans when we were little. She was very good and was never without her knitting. She even used to knit in the car! Goodness knows how she could do that. She knitted for all her grandchildren too, but the ability was lost many years ago.
You can see that I am very proud of my pram and my teddy. I still have that Teddy. He sits on a shelf in my bedroom. He was called Snowy. He isn't very white now though. In fact he is rather grey! I wouldn't dare wash him though.
One last thing.......look at my hair!! My Mum always insisted I had it short. I longed to grow my hair but for some reason, which I still don't really understand, I wasn't allowed until I was about 10!

This photo is of my Nanny. My Dads mum. Edith Rose Sansum. The dog was called Rover. I don't remember him as this photo was actually taken before I was born. The reason it holds memories for me is that it was taken at my Nans house, 75 Station Road, Forest Gate, London.
Do you see the door on the left of the photo? That was the toilet. Oh yes, in those days, toilet facilities were outside. I remember it well because I was petrified of using it! It always seemed to be dark in there ( I can't recall if it had a light, but I guess it may have done). The toilet itself was a kind of pan, a bit like we have today, but with a wooden seat that went over the top of it from wall to wall. The cistern was very high up on the wall and had a long chain to pull. There always seemed to be spiders in there. It was very scary.

This photo is of Trixie. She belonged to my Mums sister June and her family. We stayed with them often when we were children. I LOVED THAT DOG! I always longed for a dog as a child but wasn't allowed one. My parents do like dogs, but I think they just didn't want the commitment. They were also quite fussy about their house. Anyway, I couldn't have a dog! I used to cry about that sometimes. My Mum used to say "When you have your own house, you can have a dog" I always vowed that I would! Trixie was just gorgeous, so friendly. I wanted to take her home.
