Inflation

I asked Coralie over the weekend to give my some suggestions for Christmas presents.  I have to start early to spread the cost and also the number of shopping trips as I am not much of a shopper and I hate shopping when it is crowded. 

She very helpfully sent me some ideas, some of which could be ordered from internet sites.  She is very into cooking and had mentioned that she would like an old fashioned frilly apron.  She found one she liked at Play.com and used their facility to email me the details.  This is what I received:

I thought it was rather expensive for an apron!  For you Americans, £99.99 = $180.17 !!  I emailed Coralie to say that It was a bit more than I wanted to spend!! 

This seems a little expensive for an apron??????????????

Here is her reply.

It was only 19.99 when I looked at it, I know the economy is in crisis but that increase is way above inflation, maybe we can get it cheap on th black market!   LOL!!!

I am sincerely hoping that they have made a mistake!
