There is quite a lot of wild life on the Isle of Man. We saw a few different birds and some seals in the harbour at Peel and at the Sound, which is where you can view the tiny Island of "The Calf of Man". The seals were just brilliant. Years ago Simon and I saw seals at Monterrey in California, but I have never seen any in our waters.
I was fascinated and could have watched them all day. You need patience though and they are very hard to photograph. You think you have the shot and then when you review it you have caught them flipping back under!
The other thing that I loved was all the sheep with their lambs. There were fields and fields full of them every where. They are so cute. See my video.
The one disappointment was that we didn't see any Wallabies. Yes, they do have them on the Isle of Man!! They aren't native but some years back some managed to escape from the wild life park and they have continued to thrive and breed in the wild ever since. There is quite a large population of them now!!
