Lack of blogging

Well it's been a whole week since I have done any real blogging apart from a couple of funnies.  I haven't felt too much like blogging this week.  Simon wasn't too impressed with my efforts over the last week while he wasn't here!  In fact I have taken them off of Yahoo 360. 

Due to various problems with Yahoo, I have decided to no longer bother copying and pasting there for the time being.  It just seems a bit of a waste of time and I don't have that much time.  Most of my friends have moved over here anyway.  The few that are still there, I will drop in on occasionally.  Here is my Yahoo entry:

Blogging seems to have become a bit of a minefield. I have removed some of my entries from here. The rest of the site I am leaving as it is for now. I am going to be giving this a bit of a rest for the time being. Some of you have my email address, so feel free to contact me via email. Hope everyone enjoys what is left of the summer. Jilly.

So, what I have been up to the last week?  Well, I visited my Mum last Thursday with Coralie and baby Evan.  That was quite a good visit, and my Mum really seemed to enjoy her great grandson.  She even held him.
Friday, Saturday and even a bit of Sunday, I had a really nasty migraine, so Friday I spent in bed all day and also most of Saturday.  Verity came home for the weekend on Friday evening.  Adam is currently visiting his family in Belfast.  He will be back with Verity for a couple of days at the end of this week, but he is then going to Beijing for a couple of months to teach sailing.  Understandably, Verity is a bit upset.  The timing is not great either as she is about to embark on her first teaching post.
We did have a nice family meal on Sunday before Verity left to go home.  Yesterday, Simon and I had a nice day out.  We went to visit the Triangular lodge at Rushton in Northamptonshire. It was a lovely drive, but we ended up going to Rushden and got very confused when we couldn't find it!
The internet said it is one mile west.... we drove round and round and finally decided to have our lunch in Rushden park.  We asked some people there and they said, you need to be in Rushton not Rushden!  Incredibly one is about ten miles one side of Kettering and the other about ten miles the other side!

HMMM, who was it confused Rushton with Rushden?  Well it wasn't me!!  Still we had a very nice drive and did eventually manage to find the Triangular Lodge along an unclassified road! It is a  fascinating place. I will do a separate blog with some photos.
Today, I have been busy doing all the normal stuff, washing, ironing, hoovering etc.  Simon has gone into school but will be back about half past four and we are going to pop into town and collect his suit trousers which were being altered. Actually, I need to get off here and get ready as he is just going to ring me when he is outside and I need to be ready.
