Me and Simon (copy)

I'm really getting into old photos this afternoon. The kids will hate me! This one is again from 2000, which means Samuel was 20, Coralie was 18, Verity 16, Saskia 14 and Josh 12.
Well to finish my family up date .... Simon and I enjoyed the 6 weeks of the holidays. We had our break in Dublin and our holiday in Madeira which was wonderful and I really will start posting the photos soon.
The rest of the time we spent doing the garden which has looked so lovely this year. We haven't sorted out the problem of the doggie "wee" killing the lawn yet though. They have their dog rock thing in their water but that won't bring back the grass that had already died. It's really hard to see if the problem is still spreading or not. I think that maybe it is, in which case the expensive mineral rocks don't work!
Simon spent quite a bit of time and money trying in vain to sort out the problem with our car but unfortunately it is still poorly! He had some advice from the garage but it didn't do any good, they don't seem to know whats wrong with it either. We are hoping to just keep it going until the MOT is due in November and then see what we can sort out. Basically it has got to go but we need to decide if we buy a new one or a second hand one and do we want an estate or what?
Simon as I have mentioned has now gone back to school. Walton school is now 95% demolished which is kind of sad. The new school the "V0yager" is probably about 99% finished!! The teachers went in for the first time on Monday and apparently it is chaos. There are no children in this week. The staff have one week to get themselves sorted out! The thing is a lot of stuff went into storage and it is only now beginning to find its way back.
There is new stuff being delivered all the time and everything has got to be unpacked and organised. This has to be done while the builders are still finishing odd jobs and of course nobody knows their way around yet. On top of that of course there are meetings all week! It remains to be seen if the school will open to children on Monday.
Fortunately for me, I will probably not be working before October at the earliest so a lot of the teething problems will be sorted by then..... I hope!! I am going to go in and have a look round myself tomorrow afternoon.
