It's Monday! It's make do or mend day! I'm not going to say that I haven't done much this week because when I say that you all think I’ve done loads. So, I’ll just say that once again I didn't get the time (or energy) to do as much as I wanted. I always have so many plans.
So......what have I done? Well I started on my April birthday cards. There are a lot of birthdays in April. I have made 4 so far. They are not brilliant but I'm learning! I shan't say who they are for although several of them have clues!!!! Three are for men and one is a girlie card. Again, I think you'll be able to work it out!
I have done my sewing home work, which was to sew my hem and get the facing on the waist tacked in place. We didn't see Denise last week as both she and Coralie were busy. We are going tonight. All I have to do is sew the waist band and attach the hook and eye. I shall save posting this until I get back and then I can show you the finished article.....hopefully!
My lap top bag should also be finished, finally! Just have to sew on the poppers.
I found instructions in a magazine for a, hang on, I shan't tell you! You will have to guess! It is only half done so far.
Once again there was no new exciting cooking. I did make a very nice Victoria sandwich but that isn't new or exciting. Must do something different this week.
The sock monkeys have not progressed at all and poor Peggy is still sitting here waiting to go to her new home. A few people have suggested that I sell them but they really aren't that great. You need to see them up close! Plus there are all sorts of regulations now for selling soft toys. Pooh, couldn't be bothering with all that.
With my skirt being, hopefully, finished tonight I am ready to move on to something new. I ordered 8 patterns last week. Only 4 have come so far. I have a dress pattern for me.

I got three lots of material last week at our market. The flowery material is for my dress. The heart material is for Ellies dress and the Thomas material is to make bunting for Evans bedroom. I haven't yet decided what to make first. I'll decide tonight.
OK, time to get the dinner on. Home made chicken pie that I made and froze a week or so back. Nice and easy. I'll be back late tonight after sewing to model my skirt for you.

11.15pm. I am home. The skirt is finished. I am too tired to put it on and take a photo. I will show you all tomorrow. Going to bed to read now.
