I have decided to make the 26th of each month the day I will keep a diary, blow by blow of my ordinary day. Yes I know what you are all thinking...that’s pretty much what she does anyway! This will be different though as it will be literally blow by blow. There will of course be some “personal” exclusions!
Obviously the 26th falls on a different day each month so I will eventually have a record of a whole week. Anyone who wants to join in is welcome. I am going to make a little button for my side bar which you can copy to show you are joining in......if you want. It will be interesting to see the similarities between our days and the differences.
So the 26th is tomorrow of course. I'll just post my blog at the of the day or possibly even the day after, but I'll write down what I do in my trusty notebook. (Microsoft Office One note) I will try to include lots of photos
I intend to jot down details from the minute I get up until bedtime. I bet you can’t wait to read it! It’s going to be so interesting!!!! LOL. I will promise it will be an ordinary day; I will not be doing exciting things just to make it look and read better!
I’ll make notes throughout the day but also around breakfast time, morning coffee time, lunch time, afternoon coffee time, dinner time and at the end of the evening. I think that is the only way to get enough detail, my 46 year old brain will not be too tested then and they are times when I would normally be sitting anyway.
The aim of this is not to brag about how much or how little I do but simply to have an account of my day in as much detail as I care to give so that I can look back and see the pattern of my days.
So you are welcome to join in if you wish and it doesn't matter if the 26th happens to be a day you spend out of the house, housewives don't just do housework and we are not chained to the kitchen sink although I sometimes feel like I am chained to my ironing board! Most of us live full and interesting lives we just happen to do a lot of what we do at home.
Come on share the details of your 26th complete with photos. Eileen I want to see what that school kitchen looks like! Oh, and those cookies and bread sticks!
