Poetry (copy)

It's another Grey morning with lots of rain to come. I have done a few jobs and feel a little better. I am just having coffee before going to do some hoovering. Simon will be home about 2.30pm today as he isn't teaching this afternoon, but does have a parents evening tonight. We are going to go round the garden centres and hopefully get some nice plants and hanging baskets. Hopefully the rain will hold off while I get them planted. I am going to surround them with slug pellets and egg shells this time!
While I am drinking my coffee, I have been browsing some poetry sites. I came across a man called Shel Silverstine. I have never heard of him before and it seems he does lots of different things. He has brilliant stuff for kids and lovely animations on his web site. I liked this little Ditty:

Woulda-Coulda-Shoulda

All the Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas
Layin' in the sun,
Talkin' 'bout the things
They woulda coulda shoulda done...
But those Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas
All ran away and hid
From one little Did.
It's aimed at kids, but I like the message. How often do we all use those words? I should have, I would have, I could have. We usually follow them with the word But. Perhaps we should follow them with "I did"? Just a thought. Going to do that hoovering now, which I should've done hours ago!
