Quick catch up

Well it’s been another few busy days.  I had Ellie all day Wednesday and bless her she was so good but really poorly. Her little eyes were all red, her nose was constantly streaming and she had a dreadful cough.  She still managed to have me laughing at her though with her antics.

I was supposed to have her on Thursday too but Lisa rang in the morning to say that she was a lot worse with a high temperature and they needed to get her to the Doctor.  Sam rang me later in the morning to say that she has a nasty chest infection and tonsillitis, bless her little heart, she must have felt so poorly.  She has antibiotics and is a tiny bit better today.  Unfortunately both her Mummy and Daddy are really not well today with cold virus, possibly flu.  Sam sounds dreadful and it’s his birthday so I think he is feeling a bit fed up.

I still had a lovely day on Thursday.  My sister and her husband Pete came up to visit and although they missed out on seeing Ellie they did get to see Coralie and baby Evan.  He was very good and smiley and demonstrated his new skill in rolling over.

Yesterday, I had Evan in the morning while Coralie went to the hairdressers.  He was very good and we had a lovely play time.  He is becoming quite vocal now and he was doing lots of loud screeching! Coralie then took me to my hairdresser where I had my highlights redone.  I am looking all nice and blonde again now!  Coralie very kindly came and collected me too.

Josh arrived home last night from Uni.  He is here for the weekend as we are having a birthday dinner for Sam tomorrow.  Today, I have been busy with housework as normal and then this evening Simon and I went for a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary which is actually on Monday.  29 years!!!  We went to a Chinese restaurant which we had never been to before called the China House.  It was recommended by a teacher friend of Simons and it was very, very good.  The best Chinese restaurant we have been to in a long while.

I came home feeling very full.  I have been relaxing since watching Strictly Come Dancing which Simon videoed for me so I didn’t miss it.  Unfortunately I have quite a headache so it is going to be an early night.  Hopefully back here tomorrow.
