Saturday 23rd October

The postman came today...............he knocked at the door..............that means good news usually................a parcel.......................it was a parcel!!  Guess what it was?
Yes!  It was my official Numpty club T shirt courtesy of Dotty and Mickey.  These are rare items and you can only have one if you go and visit Numpty HQ.  They are not fussy though, they'll let anyone in!  You might need to practice your vodka drinking skills first though!
I am celebrating with the red stuff.  See October album for more photos!
Thank you Dot and Mickey, I shall wear it with pride.
So what’s new today?  Alfie went to the vet this morning just to check that all is healing ok. The vet said he is doing well and he will take the stitches out a week on Thursday.  We should have the results on the lumps by the end of the week.  The vet told Simon that in his experience he doesn't think that they are sinister. Keep your fingers crossed for good news.
Anyway, he has been much happier today.  Maybe because Simon has been home. Yesterday was terrible he cried and cried most of the day. Simon left at about 8am and he cried solidly until 11.30am!  I spent most of the day trying to comfort him so I didn't get much done and of course Simon gets home at 3.30pm on Fridays which shortens my day somewhat.  I did make a batch of my luxury muesli which Simon loves.  I'll post the recipe but be warned it costs a fortune to make because it has so much in it.
Today I have been busy but have actually created a whole load of chaos and my house upstairs is a tip.  You can't get past my bedroom door!  I decided that it was time to clear out the hall cupboard.  It has become a dumping ground for all sorts of stuff, so much so that it was more or less impossible to get in there and find anything!
The thing that prompted me to start was that I knew there were things in there that I have been meaning to sell on eBay and eBay has a free posting weekend.  IE.  No fees!  Brilliant.
I have various things that I have won in competitions that I don’t want and have been meaning to sell for ages.  EG: A pair of expensive inline skates with a helmet and knee, wrist and elbow pads.  I won them over a year ago and they have just sat there.  It seems a good time to try and sell them with Christmas coming up.  Oh yes.......... it is!!!!!  Only 62 days to go.
In order to find the things I wanted to put on eBay and to tidy the cupboard I have had to empty it out totally.   The stuff is all stacked up over the hall and it is chaos.  It is all still there and it is nearly 7pm. The trouble was that once I had found the things to sell I wanted to get on and do them.  I'm not sure what we will be doing tomorrow and I didn’t want to miss the free listing.
Of course it takes forever to do stuff on eBay.  First you have to photograph all the items, then upload the photos and probably mess around with them a bit.  Then once you have logged onto eBay it takes forever to sort out which category to put stuff in and to write up your description.  Then you still have to upload the photos.  It is a long process.  I have listed 10 items so far and have a few more to go.
I had to stop for a while though because Strictly is on!!!!!!!!!!  Woo hoo!  Simon is over his barn. He will be back soon and he is doing dinner.........steak and all the trimmings yum, yum.
I don’t know if I mentioned but I have tickets for next week’s Strictly!  Oh yes.....next week I shall be there in the audience, watch out for me!  I applied via the BBC ticket hotline and got lucky.  Simon wasn't really bothered to go so I asked my sister but she already has something on so we decided on a draw for my girls. It didn’t come to that though as Saskia and Coralie couldn’t make it for various reasons so Verity gets to go with me.
She phoned me just now to say that she has been trying to scope out the audience to see where the best seats are!  She thinks we need to be at the front, either opposite the judges or on either side of them!  I am sure that is where everyone wants to be.  Anyway, you all have to watch next week just to see if you can see me!
Simons home............................dinner will be in about 45 minutes.  I don’t know what he is going to say when he sees the chaos up here.  Mind you he has just been out playing and I have been working..............making money hopefully!
What else is new?  We have just 1 week until our new grandchild is due.  I am getting so excited.  I do hope that she doesn't go overdue.   We were actually hoping that it would come today as it is the beginning of half term so we would have lots of time and of course the car is here so we can get to them quickly if we need to.   She will have to be quick to do it today though!  I saw them in the week and Ellie told me she is bored with waiting now!!! Bless her.

Just watched Pamela Stephenson on Strictly and she is just brilliant.  I think the final is going to be between her and Scott Maslen who is also wonderful. Mickey I know you hate it but you must watch next week, you might see me!  Tell Dot to watch it too.
Well that’s it for now I think.  I will probably do my photo a day challenge entry later.
