I have spent the day outside in the garden. Went out there at 9am and didn't com in until 4pm. Apart from making coffee of course. I had a fair number of coffees.
I have scrubbed down all the decking and the parts of the paving slabs that I could get to.
I need to move the picnic table to do the slabs properly and I couldn't do that as it has 3 bags of compost on it.
I have potted on my sweetcorn. I hope it survives. The roots on it were incredible and all intertwined. The instructions say that it doesn't like root disturbance! Never grown sweetcorn before.
1 week ago.

Now.
I planted up my 3 sacks with their 5 potato tubers each. That's another 3 varieties. This is quite an expensive way of doing it but we wanted to see the difference between sack grown and ground grown. Plus we will have the sacks for future years.
What else did I do? I swept the leaves outside the back gate, emptied the last of the hanging baskets and a few pots that had dead things in. My fuchsia which has lasted about 5 years and is beautiful is dead! I pruned a few things and generally pottered around. Oh and I cleaned and refilled all my bird feeders. Took a few photos......

Cute little butterfly. He was pale blue and very small, never seen one like that before. I chased him around for a while hoping he would open his wings but each time he landed he closed them!
I sat for a while too drinking my coffee, listening to the birds and just chilling........and going red. Yes my face, arms and legs are red tonight! No worries they will go brown. I don't burn or peel. Don't all go warning me of the dangers, I know, ok!
Oh and some blasted thing has bitten me too. I realised earlier this evening that I was scratching the back of my leg and inspection shows some kind of bite. Feckin insects!
