It was soon time for the first dance and I would tell you what the music was but I can’t remember! They looked great. We gave them a while and then we all joined in. The party got going then and I think everyone had a good time. The only downer was a disco that was extraordinary loud. Simon really had trouble coping with it and we had to keep going outside. It really was too much and despite being asked at least a half dozen times to turn it down it crept up again.
It was on one of those occasions walking around outside that I got that mossie bite that caused my leg to swell up so badly. We were pushing Flynn around in his pram trying to get him to go to sleep and I actually felt the bite! At 9pm it was time for more food! The fish and chip van arrived! Verity and Steve love their food and I think that showed at this wedding. It really was lovely.
The night progressed with lots of drinking and dancing and merry making. I think everyone had a great time. Simon and I left at about 11pm as we had the drive home and our poor dogs had been left all day. I think the party finished at midnight. I do know that everyone was up bright and early the next morning to begin the clear up.
