1. Iris. My Mum, Iris Jessie Sholl, born 31st of July 1929. As you are all aware my Mum is in the late stages of Alzheimer's disease and I would give anything to have my old Mum back.
2. Insomnia. I have suffered sleepless nights for years. When the children were smaller, I used to be able to sleep OK. I have no idea why or exactly when this started. I can't link it to any particular event. It's just the way it is. I can be really tired and falling asleep over my book, but as soon as the light is switched off .......... BOOM ..... My mind switches on. I think about everything and anything. Some times it's my worries, some times my frustrations, some times I make plans. All sorts of stuff. This generally lasts until around about half past four in the morning when I will get up and go to the loo after which it is not usually too long before I fall asleep. I am permanently tired.
3. Ireland. Just had our first visit to Ireland. Dublin was a nice enough city but what I would really like to do is to see some of the Irish countryside and coast. As it looks likely that Verity may end up in Ireland eventually, maybe we will get to see more of it.
4. Insecure. I have lots and lots of insecurities, too many to name. The confidence is all an act!
5. Iceland. The country. This is some where that I would love to go to. It just seems like a really different kind of place. One day......
6. Iceland. The shop! This is some where that I do go to regularly. I am a relatively recent convert. I never went in there at all, but then I discovered the very good prices and good quality.
7. Indoors. I am definitely an indoor person rather than outdoor. Don't get me wrong, I do like the big outdoors, it's just that I am often at my happiest indoors in my own home.
8. Invigilation. This is what I do to earn some money. It can be a boring job but it carries a responsibility. It's good for me as I only work about 13 weeks of the year and then not full time.
9. Ice cream. I love ice cream, particularly the very soft whipped kind that you used to get from the ice cream van when I was kid.
Well that's it!! I have thought hard but I can only come up with nine things so I guess I should call this weeks entry the Tuesday 9!!
