Tuesday 2nd December

Hmm, I have woken up this morning and I don’t feel that great.  I am very tired and achy and have a bit of a cough.  I hope that I am not going down with what Sam, Lisa and Ellie have.  I had a bad night last night.  The dogs were really naughty they would not stay in the kitchen.  I have no idea why as they are usually so good at bedtime.  Unfortunately Loulou can open the kitchen door if she wants to and then they both come racing upstairs.

I am talking about Loulou and Alfie here as Rosie sleeps in the living room anyway.  Opening the door involves much loud banging and then thunderous paw steps as they come running up.  Simon took them down 3 times but he just gets so angry, so in the end it was a case of let me deal with it.  I sat in the living room and did some sewing in the end and they came up no less than 9 times!!  I wish I knew what was wrong because something obviously was. 

I did wonder if it was because I had fed them last night and I think I give them more than Simon does.  Several times Loulou wanted to go in the garden and I let her out thinking maybe she needed to “go”.  The naughty girl waltzed around and then stood there looking at me and refused to come in.  I had to drag her back in at one point.  I don’t know if she didn’t want to come in because she wanted to “go” or if she just didn’t want o come in because I was cross.  I was half expecting a mess on the floor this morning but there wasn’t.

We’ll have to monitor this as it happened a week or so back too and I think I may have fed them then as well.  If I have given them too much maybe their tummies are uncomfortable and they can’t settle?  They are usually so good.  I hope they don’t do it tonight as Simon was furious even though he was able to go to bed and to sleep.  I was up sewing until 2.30am.  I gave them a whole hour after the last escape to settle, then I crept upstairs for fear of disturbing them! Good job I love them!  They have seemed to know this morning that Mummy is cross!

 

I haven’t done too much so far today.  I was supposed to have gone to a meeting this morning with the coordinator at the Sue Ryder home where I am hoping to do voluntary work.  I had to phone and cancel as I really didn’t feel like going and catching the bus.  I think we’ll rearrange for next week.  I don’t suppose it will make much difference as it has taken ages to get to this stage anyway.  They had to wait for my CRB check to come through and then they lost a reference and it had to be done again.  I probably won’t start now until after Christmas.  I will just do one afternoon a week in the day centre. Should hopefully be fun, they do lots of craft work.

I have cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and done a tiny bit of ironing. I have caught up on a few blogs and done a Tuesday Thirteen on my own blog.  This afternoon I am going to go through some more of those old photos and scan them in, so expect to see more soon.

 That’s if I don’t throw my key board across the room first!  It has been playing up for a few days. It began with the letter “K” not working properly.  It only works if you really bang it extremely hard several times.  As you type, that of course doesn’t happen as I type quite fast.  This means I have to go back through afterwards and add in all the “K’s”........ Sometimes the spell checker will do it, depends on the word! 

Today it is doing exactly the same thing with “I” and “M”.  Goodness knows why as I haven’t split anything on it or anything like that.  Looks like I need a new key board and I haven’t had this one long.  Am I wearing them out?  Hmm, you know you are doing too much blogging when your key board wears out after only 6 months!!

One last thing... my Tuesday Thirteen post missed out Saskia’s birthday for this year when she will be 23, so I am adding that in here.  I also put her 24^th birthday before Christmas 2009 and of course it isn’t.  Thought I would straighten that out before some one points it out to me!!

Right off to make coffee now, maybe even a cake for lunch!
