Wow, I haven't got around to this in a while! Anyway here goes, remember they are just things that are important or relevant to me and they are in no particular order. This week it is the letter:

1. Sansum. This was my maiden surname. I think it is quite unusual and I always liked it. When I got married I became common Mrs Glenn. I didn't like that half as much as my own name. We were married a few months before we changed both of our names by deed poll to the double barrelled Glenn-Sansum. I used that for years but was always irritated by the fact that people assumed that my christian (first) name was Glenn. It didn't help that my initial is "G"! It often caused confusion.
About 6 years ago, I removed the hyphen and joined it all into one word: Glennsansum. The only problem with that is that when you say it as one word people ask immediately how do you spell that? Just to be perverse and to make them even more confused, I spell it like this: GLE, NNS, ANS, UM! They then always say, "oh that's unusual"!
2. Simon. My dear beloved husband. We have been married for 28 and a half years. Quite a record!
3. Samuel. My first born child who is now 27 years old, married to Lisa and the father of my first grandchild, little Ellie Grace. Sam is a carpenter and builds huge sailing boats for Fairline. Look around any marina in the world and you will see Fairline boats.
4. Saskia. My fourth child and third daughter, who is now 22 years old. From a very early age Saskia wanted to do nothing except dance. Hardly surprising as she used to dance in her cot. I swear she could dance before she walked!! As you know she did go on to be a professional dancer and has performed in many famous venues. EG: The Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium, The theatre Royal and Saddlers Wells to name a few.
As soon as she finished college she went abroad to perform and has lived in Cyprus, France and Majorca. She spent several years dancing in the shows and parades at Disney Land Paris. She is now back in the UK and is currently working at The Voyager school teaching Dance and also offering language support in French and Spanish classes.
5. Stevenage. This is the town where I was born and where I lived until the day I got married. My Dad still lives in the house where I was born. My parents moved there from east London. Stevenage was built as a new town to take Londoners.
6. Sandwiches. I love sandwiches, preferably made with shop bought white bread, the cheap processed variety!! Unfortunately I never have it any more as it upsets my stomach. I have to have sandwiches with wholemeal bread now. Prawn sandwiches are a favourite and also egg and tomato.
7. School. I really loved primary school. Things changed a bit when I went to secondary school though. I used to get really fed up following in my sister Julies footsteps. She was quite clever and the teachers used to constantly compare us, with me coming out unfavourably! Then in my later years boys be came an issue!! We didn't actually have any in our school as it was a girls school but that only increased the novelty value! We used to look out of the windows in boring lessons to see how many boys we could see! I couldn't wait to leave in the end. Now I wish I had given it more of a go, but I guess a lot of people feel that way. I spent the next 16 years or so going backwards and forwards twice a day taking my children to school. Now of course I work in one!
8. Scampi. One of my favourite things to eat!
9. Sandy. She was a little sandy coloured mongrel dog that we got from a dogs home. She was an absolute delight and loved all the children. She also loved to play a game of chase the stone. She would select a stone from the garden and bring it to you. She would drop it at your feet and then bark until you picked it up and threw it. Whereupon she would chase it and promptly bring it back for the game to start again. She was great friends with Rosie when we got her as a pup. She wasn't quite so impressed when Rosie produced Loulou and Alfie. I think she was just too old. Sadly she died here at home, just over 2 years ago. I still miss her.
10. Sweet and sour Chinese. Prawn balls with sweet and sour sauce. Yummy, my favourite treat!
11. Spain. We have been to Spain quite a few times and I absolutely love it. It has everything, sun, sea, sand, scenery, wonderful food.... What else can I say. I love Majorca too.
12. Sidmouth. This is the seaside town in East Devon where we bought our first house. I loved that house just because it was ours; but it was tiny! We did have 2 children in it though.
13. Starter homes. Our first house in Sidmouth was called a starter home. This was the term given at the time for very small, cost effective housing. They were built quickly using timber frames. This wasn't a common method in the UK back then and we had great trouble getting a mortgage. I think the banks all had this idea that they would burn down!!
Hmm, I have just realised that while I have 3 people and several places on this list I also have 3 food items!! That should tell me something!
