Another week half gone!! Yesterday I was a bit fed up with myself, my mouth and throat felt really sore, also my right ear later in the day as well. I did my normal housework and went to Tesco's in the afternoon with Coralie and Evan. I really enjoy pushing the pram and I am so pleased that Coralie decided to have a proper pram. He looks so comfy in it.
After Coralie went home, I set about a new recipe for dinner. A lamb curry with mango and coconut milk. I was feeling really rough and my ear was hurting so it was a bit of a chore. I got all the sauce part done and then I tried to slice the lamb from the bone. I was using left over meat. I couldn't do it! We really need new sharp knives!!! I managed to cut my finger but not badly.
By this time I was really frustrated that I couldn't cut the meat and I was also feeling quite sick. I sat down to wait for Simon who was due in 10 minutes later. After 25 minutes, when he still hadn't arrived, I was working myself into a stew! Even the dogs were acting funny. They had been driving me mad for over an hour, jumping up and down looking for their Dad. They don't usually do that until right before he is due.
Consequently, I talked myself into thinking something was wrong and when Simon eventually came in, I was a sobbing mess! I felt really sick and shaky. I have funny turns sometimes where I come over all shaky, I think maybe it's my age as it usually passes off really quickly.
Why was Simon so late? He had been back to his old school, The Voyager, to give them some help with the electric car and had lost track of time!! GREAT! I was not best pleased. I am a worrier and a stickler for time. 6pm to me, means exactly that....6pm, not 5 past or half past. I have told Simon and the kids so many times, that I don't mind when you come in but if it's going to be different to what you said, then RING ME AND LET ME KNOW! Saves, so much worry. It never sinks in!
Anyway, as I wasn't feeling too good Simon said he would cut the lamb and finish my recipe. He made me milk and honey for my sore throat and made me go and lay down. An hour or so later he brought me dinner. It was ok, but not that great. I realised that it was missing something..... no coriander, no almonds and no mango!!! I had gone out specially to buy the fresh coriander and mango! £3 of ingredients unused! Simon said he forgot them. He added the lamb, finished the cooking and then just served it! I need to find something to do with a mango now!
Today, I feel better. The roof of my mouth still feels sore, but my throat and ear are ok. Just as well really as I am looking after Ellie from lunch time as Lisa is at work. Sam will pick her up at half past seven this evening. I am also having Evan for an hour or so this afternoon as Coralie has a dentist appointment. It will be the first time that I have looked after both of my grandchildren together!
I said this to Coralie and she said, you'll be fine, you had 5 of us! That's true, but some how grandchildren are different. Plus, with my own children I didn't have to worry about the dogs all the time. We only had one dog then and the children all grew up with him as he was here first!
I am still very much on my guard with our 3 now. Rosie is fine and can be around the grandchildren. She is too old to be bothered or fazed by them. If Ellie is near her and she doesn't want to be touched she will give a low grumble and usually move herself, or we move Ellie. The other 2, Alfie and Loulou are generally kept away, although we have made real efforts to introduce them to Evan. They never really got to know Ellie when she was tiny.
Loulou seems to be ok and will have a sniff of Evan and then ignores him, she even licked the top of his head the other day! We have even let her be around when Ellie has been at floor level and she has ignored her. I think she is Ok as long as they didn't attempt to touch her, I'm not convinced she would like that.
Alfie is a different kettle of fish all together, I don't trust him around them at all. He gets a funny sort of glazed look in his eyes. I think it is because he has never been used to little people or babies and he is quite spoilt by us, so probably feels jealous. He is getting better and I always let him have a little sniff of Evans feet when I'm holding him, but I am constantly on my guard.
When Ellie is here the dogs are only around when she is in my arms or in the high chair. When she gets down to play, I have to put Alfie and Loulou into another room and make sure the door is firmly shut. It's a shame as I don't like shutting them in, they aren't used to it. They are usually very good though and I give them a chew. Hopefully this will improve as dogs and babies get older. I am going to get some jobs done soon before Ellie arrives as after that we will be playing!
Did you notice my page has changed? I got fed up with my theme not working properly and messing things up, so I have reverted back to just a background image.!! Before I did that I removed all the code for the widgets from the right rail edit box. They didn't disappear though until I got rid of the theme!
Once I had got my new, pretty pink stars, background image in place, I thought I would just add one widget, the clock, to my right rail. I did and it looked great. Then I decided to post a blog and as soon as I went to my blog compose page there was the clock!! I went back to look at my page and there is the clock at the top again!!! I could not believe it. It seems that something weird is definitely happening and it can't have been the theme!

It seems to me that since I became a Premium member, everything has gone downhill! I have to say that I am not impressed with customer service either. I have sent them 3 emails regarding 3 separate issues and so far, nearly 3 days on, I have not had a reply. Not even an acknowledgment. Anyone know how long they normally take?
Yesterday evening I decided to contact one of the groups I belong to, Multiply user support. No such luck! When I go to their page and click post, I can't because the option is "greyed" out! I have no idea why. I looked at my settings and couldn't see anything relating to posting in groups. I did notice that I can't post to any of my groups!! What the heck? Anyone know why??? I'm feeling like Multiply doesn't like me! You know I really wish I had never changed anything!!
Ok, time now to get on with a few jobs!
