I woke up this morning and for some minutes I couldn’t work out where I was. The room was bright, it felt quite warm. Puzzled, I got up and opened my curtains. There in the sky was a big round yellow ball (NB yellow, not orange or red!) I think I remember it from way back; I think it may be called the sun. It is so long since I have seen it that I can’t quite remember!
I left a note earlier this morning saying that Simon has now gone back to work. It’s nice to have him at home for the long summer holidays but it is also good when he goes back and I can get back into my normal routine. Josh is here for a few more weeks yet before he goes back to Uni. This week he is working nights (the last week of his summer job). It is a bit of a pain as I don’t really like to hoover while he is asleep which puts my routine out. Next week he is going to Egypt so I am nearly back to being just me in the house during the day.
I get so behind with everything during the holidays. The normal stuff gets done, just about! Other stuff gets left. I don’t like it. We were particularly busy these holidays with the wedding. So I have a mass of stuff to get done and I anticipate that it will probably take me a couple of weeks to get totally straight.
I am using my half hour system today although it won’t work all day as I need to go to the shops at some point and that takes longer than a half hour. The shopping has been a very haphazard affair during the holidays too so I need to do a BIG shop. I won’t be doing that this afternoon; I’ll do it online from Tesco.
So far I have tided the kitchen (normal tidy not good thorough clean which needs doing) I have washing on and I have done ironing. Hmmm.... I seem to be finding it difficult to get moving. I am slow. I have been in the garden and watered all the tomatoes which still need watering despite the rain as they are in pots.

Ok, it’s nearly 9pm now and things have gone a bit to pot! The half hour system didn’t work well today as I gave up after lunch when I had to go out to the shops. I have done a few more jobs and I have ordered all my groceries to be delivered tomorrow.
This evening I have been on the phone regarding our ongoing complaint about music from the rugby club which is in the park behind my house. This complaint has been going on for 18 months. I don’t have the energy to go into it now but the music drives us insane. It started tonight at 6pm and is still going. On Saturday night it started at 6pm and went on until 2.10am!!!! It’s a disgrace. I now have to get some paper work together to give to our local councillor tomorrow morning so I am done here. I had wanted to do a catch up blog and there are still all those holiday and wedding photos.........................
