A photo a day challenge 10

Wednesday the 10th of November, half way through another week!  The time is flying. It’s nearly 11am so I am just sitting down to have my coffee and to do my daily photo whatsit. Today’s challenge is: 10. A photo of your wedding.
Here we are!  We got married in December of 1979 at All saints Church, Datchworth.  The local village church where Simons family lived.  (Not the Catholic Church which was just the start of the in-law troubles.)  It was a cold day and there was snow on the ground in places, not what I had wanted when we planned our AUGUST wedding!  (More in-law trouble)
Ok I think that is all I shall say about that!  Most of you know the story of my in-laws anyway and you really don’t want to get me started!
Just had to show you this photo as well. It is my bridesmaids. L-R Simons cousin Sarah, Simon’s sister Anna, my sister Julie and Simon’s cousin Louise.  I must have liked those dresses at the time but now they just look like they were made out of bed sheets!  My Dad made them.
Despite the dissention in the ranks the daily photo challenge seems to be going strong. We lost Linda aka Lady Callie yesterday who notified me that she will no longer be taking part due to the difficulties she had in finding our blog entries.  We did gain 2 new people though and I will add them to the list in my notes in case you want to check them out.  They are:
Shane - London, England - http://rimshotdaminky.multiply.com/  (he has a beautiful dog)
Marie - Porth, Wales - http://silver60.multiply.com/
A couple of people said they couldn’t join in today as they had never been married. That’s fine but do remember there are no rules to this so you can interpret the challenge anyway you see fit.  A parents wedding springs to mind or a friend or........... The same goes for tomorrows challenge which is: 11. Today’s dinner.
Ok that is me out of here now.  I may be back later as I want to put the photos of Evan and Flynn’s baptism in an album but for now I am having a family history research session.  Off to plough my way through some ships passenger lists now!
