Time for today’s photo challenge which is: 11. Today’s dinner.
When I compiled the list of challenges I rather hoped that this would be a day when I had cooked something wonderful and I would be able to show it off to you and maybe even post the recipe. Unfortunately that has not been the case.
Here is today’s dinner. It looks very sad.
It is a Young’s frozen meal for one. Supposedly it is a salmon crumble. The reason for my sad little dinner? Simon has gone to his barn straight from school; apparently he still has a lot of work to do on the electric car to have it ready for Saturday. He is getting take away with his friend. I hate cooking for just myself so on the way back from Coralie’s I went in Sainsbury’s to grab myself something I could just chuck in the microwave.
This looked ok on the box. (Mine was the full calorie version not light and easy). BIG MISTAKE. I did eat it but it was pretty poor. First off it was about big enough for Evan. Secondly it seemed to have just mash on top of it, not the promised crumble. Thirdly there was hardly any fish and it was a white fish which did not resemble salmon in any way. I KNOW what salmon tastes like.
Moral of my tale? DO NOT BUY YOUNGS SALMON CRUMBLE EVER AGAIN!
