A photo a day challenge 17

17 - A picture of your mp3 player/iPod

I can’t show you a photo of my iPod or MP3 player because I don’t have one.  I have never had one.  I am not big on music. Don’t get me wrong I do like music, all different kinds; it’s just that I don’t very often listen to it.  I never have music on during the day.  My house is silent all day except for me talking to my dogs.

I have all my CD’s on my computer now although I have kept the CD’s!  I rarely listen to them.  You may remember that back in January we got a new, small, micro Hi-fi to replace our old, large, old fashioned one.  Simon wanted it.  He has probably used it a couple of times a month since and only ever to listen to the radio which he could get via his computer or the TV.  A bit of a waste of money really and another thing to dust....that’s if I did dusting!!!!!

The new hi-fi doesn’t have a turntable and we decided that we would get rid of all our records as they were a bit useless without the turntable.  We agreed that any that we really wanted we would download so we didn’t lose them.  Bare in mind nearly all those records hadn’t been touched in years. In fact the last few years (probably up to 5 or more) the only time we ever played a record was at Christmas when we were putting up the Christmas tree and we would play Phil Spectors Christmas album.  It is a sort of family tradition.

Anyway, guess what?  I duly got rid of all my albums and 10 months on Simons ones are still sitting there on the bottom shelf in the living room!  I think I may chuck them out 1 at a time and see how long it takes him before he notices they are gone.  I could get rid of them all and he probably wouldn’t notice for weeks then I could say “oh you gave those away last year when we got the new hi-fi remember”?!  Poor memory in others is a useful tool! Only joking.

Anyway since my music is on my computer I am posting a photo of my computer!  I am also posting a little ditty sent to me by my friend Ali who thought it really suited me!

It is a really crap photo.  I took it on my bloggie because that is where my SD card is.  The bloggie doesn't have flash which is an oversight.  My Kodak camera is still going to be best for photos. On screen is this blog!

Cleaning Poem
I asked the Lord to tell me Why my house is such a mess He asked if I'd been 'computering', And I had to answer 'yes.'

He told me to get off my butt, And tidy up the house. And so I started cleaning up... The smudges off my mouse.

I wiped and shined the topside. That really did the trick... I was just admiring my good work. I didn't mean to 'click.'

But click, I did, and oops - I found A real absorbing site, That I got SO way into it - I was into it all night.

So nothing's changed except my mouse. It's as shiny as the sun. I guess my house will stay a mess..... While I sit here on my bum.
