Congratulations

I have meant to do this for ages and time has been against me. Please all join me in wishing Dawn and Sam congratulations and all the very best on their recent wedding. Dawn and Sam got married just after Christmas.

Sam (aka Donald) is my Dads cousin. They live in Florida. One day soon, I will tell the story of how Dawn found me a few years ago. In brief, my Dads father Harry, had a brother called Walter, who as the story went, emigrated to Canada to be a lumber Jack and then died during the war.

Obviously, as this what we had been told we had no idea that we could have relatives in the form of my Dads cousins. What actually happened is a whole other story. BUT...... Walter didn't die and in fact married here in the UK, before he went away. (We didn't know that) He went on to have 2 children, one of which is Sam (Donald), my Dads cousin!!!

I hope I have that right as, I haven't got all my family history stuff in front of me. I am sure Dawn will correct me if it is wrong!! I'll get round to putting some of my family history stuff in here soon. (hopefully)!

Anyway, big congratulations to Dawn and Sam. I wish you both the very best for the coming years.
