How to cause controversy? Put something on your blog with out checking its validity first!! Mondays blog regarding Bill Gates generated lots of messages and comments all of which were very positive except a couple. Everyone loved it and thought it both humorous and true.
Unfortunately, one lady who obviously has nothing better to do with her time checked it out on some web site and says Mr Gates didn't say it at all. She has so little to do with her time that she actually emailed me to tell me that, and I quote "Your blog is in error"!! Well, I am very, very sorry (Not) but I neither have the time or inclination to check everything out.
As my Blog is primarily for my own fun and entertainment, I do not see the necessity to check everything. The offending blog was funny and I believe that it contained valuable advice. Something that this lady has missed, is that it doesn't really matter who actually said it, the information in it is still very true. It is put in such a way as to make you both laugh and think. I don't think that Mr Gates will mind being credited with it either.
Now just in case there are any more "Mary Whitehouse" types out there, I have one thing to ask of you. When you send me a message, would you do me the courtesy of allowing me to reply to you. These people who feel it their duty to go around criticising everyone else always seem to have their blogs set to private and are set to no messages. I don't mind criticism, but give me the chance to explain.
I have said this before a million times. I do my blog for myself, it is kind of my diary. It contains, stuff about my life and family, some jokes, some music and some educational stuff. All stuff that in one way or another has caught my attention. Please feel free to drop by and read. If you don't like what you read then please go away. It's not written for you anyway, it's for me. OK? Got that? Comprendre??
Oh and while, I'm at it another reminder ......... I ONLY SPEAK ENGLISH!
OK, time to go now and see if I can find anything else that I can post that is wrong! Hey did I just say that or was it someone else? Maybe I should check it out on the web to see.
