Ok so I am still not great! This blasted cold is still hanging on and I have zero energy for anything. I have wrapped a couple of presents for the snowman this morning but that’s about it. Simon has popped to his barn for a couple of hours. He must be crazy it is minus six again! He’ll be back about 3pm and when he is I am just going to pop into town very quickly. I still need to buy the men’s snowman presents and I have a shirt that I got for Simon that I need to exchange. When I went to wrap it up I noticed a mark on it. What a pain.
Time for the photo challenge whilst I have my coffee. Today’s theme is: 21. Favourite Christmas ornament.
We have ornaments that we have collected over the lifetime of our marriage. A few hold special memories but most are fairly ordinary. However I have 4 that are fairly new and they are very special. They commemorate the first Christmas of each of my grandchildren.
I’m not sure if these were around when my own children were born but even if they were we wouldn’t have been able to afford them back then. They are made of china and are actually quite heavy so they are hard to place on the tree. They have a picture on the front and the name and date on the back.
The first one is Ellies.
This next one is Evans.
Then this one is from last year for Flynn.
Lastly the newest one of all, being displayed on our tree for the first time is little Jessica’s which is slightly different as her name is on the front and it just says Happy Christmas on the back.
Tomorrow’s theme is: 22. Your Christmas food. By this I do not mean your actual Christmas dinner as that stupid woman thought. I mean your stock pile. Over here most of us get in a stock pile of Christmas goodies.
