Well we have had a bit of a lazy day today. No house work has been done. We got up late and spent the morning just relaxing. This afternoon we walked over to Coralie’s house in the snow. Yes we have finally had a dose of the white stuff. I estimate maybe 2 inches in total which is a lot for Peterborough. I don’t know if more is predicted. I do hope not.
We have got off very lightly so far compared to some people. When I was reading Sues blog earlier and she was describing the conditions in her rural part of Ireland it made me realise how lucky we are. It also made me wonder about our country living dream!
I did a video of our walk to Coralie’s which I will post shortly. It is quite funny as Simon and I had a great time but to anyone else it just sounds like we were bickering the whole way! It took much longer to walk there today because of the snow and using my little bloggie camera.
We had a nice time playing with Evan and Granddad made a snowman with him in the garden which was fun. Barclay the new puppy is enjoying the snow and going quite crazy. I was so annoyed that I missed filming him steal Evans hat clean off his head and running down the garden with it! It was so funny. We didn’t see Flynn he was asleep.
On the way home we went in Iceland and picked up some frozen party foods which we will have as nibbles later on Christmas day when we are watching TV.
That brings me to today’s daily photo theme which is: 22. Your Christmas food.
We have a frozen turkey this year so we have just got it out of the freezer to begin defrosting.
The freezer is full but a lot of the Christmas stuff is underneath.
The fridge is full too. There is ordinary every day food in there but if you look you can see lots of cheese and also cartons of fresh orange juice which will be mixed with champagne to serve at brunch on Boxing day.
This photo shows our sweetie stash! All of these were given to us by my Dad who seems to have gone a bit crazy this year! There were even more but some have already been opened and started on! We also have a store of drink including the red stuff for me and beers and ciders for the men.
Don’t forget tomorrow’s theme is: 23. A kiss. (Suggested by Nancy)
