Time for the daily photo theme. It has been a busy day so it is lucky that I am here! Today the theme is: 9. Your favourite place to shop. (Suggested by Nancy)
I am not much of a shopper. I detest grocery shopping and other shopping such as clothes shoes etc...Well let’s just say it is not a favourite pass time. I certainly couldn’t go window shipping like some women. Having said that, if I am in a new place then I don’t mind having a browse around the local shops but my own local shops are not a huge attraction. I have friends that go into the city centre a couple of times a week to browse around and shop. That would drive me crazy.
So a favourite shop. My favourite for grocery shopping probably has to be Tesco because they have everything and are relatively cheap. For clothes it has to be good old Marks and Spencer’s.....if I have money! If money is lacking then I have found a good cheap shop called Peacocks. I had never been in one before but when they redeveloped out local Bretton centre (the one I walk through on the way to Coralie’s house) Peacocks opened there. It is a high turnover fashion chain. Nothing is made to last as it is so called high fashion. It is probably aimed at the younger market but I have found that I can occasionally get bargains from there.
The photos show The Queensgate shopping centre in the city centre and Marks and Spencer’s. I don’t go in very often. I prefer to go to another local shopping centre called Serpentine Green at Hampton but the disadvantage is there is no M&S there.
