DPT 6

It has been another busy weekend so I am only just sitting down at my computer.  I haven't even looked at any of your posts yet.  I am going to do the daily photo theme and then I might do a quick catch up weekend blog.
The DPT today is:  6. Something tall. (Suggested by Vicki)
Now if it had been something short I could have just put in a photo of myself!  Tall is a bit more difficult. My thoughts are naturally turning to buildings. I have been to some pretty tall places over the years.  My first really tall place was probably the Eiffel tower in France which I first visited on a school exchange holiday when I was about 13.  I have been back several times since.

The photo above was taken in 2003 when Simon, Coralie, Saskia, Raz and Josh all went to France.
Then of course there was the Empire State building and the Twin Towers which we first visited back in the summer of 1979 when we did our huge road trip across Merika.

That Merikan Statue of Liberty is pretty tall too!
Those places of course are all abroad.  So, that got me to thinking what is the tallest place I have been to in England?  I guess it must be the Blackpool tower which we went to in 1984.  We had a summer holiday there that year; it was the furthest north that I had ever been!  It remained so until I went to Mickey’s which I am fairly certain is even further north.
I don't have any photos to hand from back then so this is a web photo.

I have also visited some pretty amazing churches in this country which have pretty tall spires or towers.  Our own cathedral here in Peterborough is pretty tall too.

The themes for next week are:
7. Something pointed (Suggested by Vicki)
8. Your bathroom or something in your bathroom. (Suggested by Mickey)
9.  A shell.
10. A pebble.
11. Something made of wood. (Suggested by Vicki)
12. Something made of glass. (Suggested by Vicki)
13.  Something made of plastic.
