Entry for 02 January 2008

Well it has been a slow day, but my headache is much improved so I am hopeful that I can get back to normal tomorrow. I did have a bit of a blip around lunch time, when a bit of stress caused a flare up. When I have a migraine it gradually disappears to become a pressure behind my left eye rather than actual pain. That pressure will last anything up to a couple of days and is my warning to take it very easy. The slightest thing will turn that pressure back to a killing thump, thump pain.

Coralie called in for a while and we had a chat while Simon did the hoovering for me. Why do I say for me? He lives here too! Simon did the hoovering!! End of story. He went over his barn after that and Coralie went home and Josh went out. That means I have had peace and quiet. I have finally finished a little embroidered picture that I have been making for Ellie. Coralie went to town this afternoon and she has ordered a cross stitch kit of Noah's ark for me to do for her baby.... "Bob". Hopefully if I start soon, I may finish it by the time "Bob" arrives.

Tomorrow we finally have the repair man coming to mend my washing machine. I have been without it for over 2 weeks! We have managed by taking one load a day to my friend Ed's house. He is away, so he said we could use his machine. Considering that I normally do 4-5 loads a day, I am a bit behind!! We have mainly been doing our clothes. The dogs towels and bedding has had to wait. The theme for the next few days is obviously going to be washing and ironing!!

Well that's it for now. I am going to go and do some more sewing. I have some more names to sew onto my keepsake table cloth. Simon is going to cook dinner when he comes in, so I think I will go and have a nice relaxing bath while it cooks. Hopefully then I will be able to have a relaxing, headache free evening. I have Eastenders to look forward to and then I may also watch a film called Bruce Almighty which is on TV and supposed to be funny. I am also going to record channel 4 which has a programme called "How to look good naked" It has a man called Gok Wan who gives women make overs. I have only seen it a couple of times but he is very good and has great advice.
